The plywood-panelled room — communal wood tables under low pendant light

Q1What kind of barbecue is this?

Old-school Texas style. Beef cut by hand from whole primals, seasoned with nothing but salt and pepper. Smoked low and slow over wood fire in a custom-built smoker for about twelve hours, then rested about another twelve before the knife touches it.

Q2What are the hours and closed days?

Weekdays 12:00–14:30 and 17:00–22:00; weekends 12:00–22:00 straight through. Published closed-day info has varied over time, so please check by phone (03-6873-2143) or Instagram (@phat_que) before visiting.

Q3Where is the shop, and what is the nearest station?

NishiikeMart, 4-19-14 Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku — a 4–5 minute walk from Exit 6 of Kanamecho Station (Tokyo Metro Yurakucho/Fukutoshin Lines), and walkable from Ikebukuro Station's west exit in about 10–12 minutes.

Q4Can I reserve a table or order delivery?

Seats can be reserved through Tabelog. Delivery and takeout run through Uber Eats.

Q5What's the relationship with CYCAD BREWING? How does payment work?

A separately owned craft brewery in the same NishiikeMart room — BBQ and craft beer from the same seat. Because ownership differs, checks are separate; a visitor's account records cashless-only payment. Confirm the current policy with the shop.

Q6What's the whole holiday turkey?

In past holiday seasons, whole smoked turkeys (¥22,000, serves 8–10) were offered by advance reservation via Instagram DM. Check @phat_que for the current round.
